The Event:

This run is considered a “Fun Run” because it is not an officially certified course and it will not be officially timed. This no-pressure environment encourages runners of all ability to come out and support a charity while enjoying the company of a few hundred friends! Instead of official times, the race will be using a placing system where you will see your overall place on our website a few days after the event.

The race will be held on the Back Bay Fens park at the intersection of Jersey St. and Park Dr. near the basketball courts.





About us:

As part of Northeastern University's MBA program, we are working on a project where students have been charged with creating and running a business to raise funds for a charity. With $100 in seed money and an open ended assignment, our team has chosen to put on a Fun Run/Walk to support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana (http://www.no-hunger.org/). The charity has been working overtime in the wake of the continued devastation of the Gulf Coast. The run, dubbed Husky Run after our school's mascot, will be held Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Back Bay Fens park of Boston. It will be a short 3 mile run (loop course) or 1 mile walk at the participants' discretion. With a goal of at least 300 people attending, we are hoping to raise more than $2,000.00 to send directly to Second Harvest.
